Entries must be submitted by post, online or returned to a Specsavers store. Specsavers does not accept any responsibility for late or lost entries. Proof of posting is not proof of receipt. Entries must be received by Specsavers in Guernsey between Monday 18 May 2009 and Sunday 12 July 2009. Only one entry per person. Winners will be contacted personally. No purchase required. You must be aged 16 and over (and accompanied by an adult if you are under 18), resident in the Republic of Ireland and a current specs wearer or wear glasses for fashion purposes. Entrants will be judged on their appearance in glasses and on their overall personality. Entrants who cannot attend the Irish final or the International Final will be replaced and their prize reallocated.

Holiday with Tropical Places is subject to availability. There is no cash alternative. Transfers are included. Holiday insurance is NOT included. The holiday is non transferable and travel must be completed by May 2010. The holiday is for two people to Thailand staying eight nights in the three star plus hotel Centara Karon in the resort of Phuket (room only). Return flights from Dublin or Cork included. No travel during bank or public holidays. All Irish finalists will receive a Specsavers eyecare voucher worth €215 (cannot be used in conjunction with any other Specsavers offer) and a goody bag, including items from Specsavers and Make Up For Ever. No cash alternative for any prize. Not open to employees of Specsavers, Kidscape, Assets Model Management, Tropical Places, Star Newspaper, their families or anyone professionally associated with the promotion.

Ten finalists in Ireland will be contacted by letter in July 2009 and will be invited to attend the Irish final at the Radisson SAS Golden Lane on the 9 September 2009, where the winner will be selected. The winner must be available to attend the International Final judging, which will take place in London in October 2009 (the date will be announced prior to or at the Irish final). Specsavers Optical Group will pay reasonable travelling expenses to the Irish final for each finalist. Specsavers Optical Group will pay reasonable travelling expenses and accommodation for the winner plus one guest only for the International Final. The judges’ decision will be final and no correspondence will be entered into. Photos are not returnable.

The winner will be required to participate in all post-event publicity as required by Specsavers, including any Specsavers advertising/PR campaigns in the 12 months after the final. Specsavers reserves the right to reallocate prizes if entrants are unable to attend the Irish final, International Final or breach these rules. Specsavers reserves the right to alter or substitute any of the prizes with a prize of a similar value. Winners’ names can be obtained upon request in writing from Specsavers Optical Group, La Villiaze, St Andrews, Guernsey, GY6 8YP. Entrants will be deemed to have accepted these rules and agree to abide by them when entering this competition. The winner may be required to sign a contract with Assets Model Management and may be subject to their terms and conditions. All Make Up For Ever and other products are used at entrants’ liability except that Make UP For Ever does not exclude any liability for death or personal injury caused by its negligence. The winner of the International final may be required to sign a contract with Premier Model Management and may be subject to their terms and conditions.
